YCET conducts quiz competition

JAMMU, May 9: Quiz Chankya, an inter club competition, was conducted by the students of Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) today.
The aim of the event was to stimulate intellectual curiosity among the students about scientific facts and problems.
Faculty members, staff and all the students of YCET participated in the competitive event. The Jury members comprised of Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, Dr Seema Narain, Director, YCET and Er. Bodh Raj Verma, Dean Academics, YCET.
There were four rounds and the last round being the Fast & Furious which was the rapid buzzer round.
The first position was bagged by Digvijay Singh, Akshit Kumar, Avinash Kumar of GEAR Club, 4th Semester, Mechanical Engineering Department, whereas the second and third positions were clinched by Sahil Singh, Savitoj Singh and Himanshu Lehra of Steel Club 4th Semester, Civil Engineering Department and Sahil Gupta, Adil Bashir and Umar Zargar of Thunder & Lighter Club 4th Semester Electrical Engineering Department respectively.
The event was organized by GEAR Club, Department of Mechanical Engineering under the guidance of Er Amit Shivgotra and Er Neeraj Pandita, COD afforded an opportunity to the budding engineers to showcase their razor sharp intellect and general awareness.
Nitesh Kichloo, 4th Sem, Mechanical Engineering was the Quiz Master for the event.
Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, encouraged the students to participate wholeheartedly in such events and keep themselves abreast of the latest developments happening around us.
Dr Seema Narain, Director YCET, thanked the organizing club coordinator Er Amit Shivgotra and students for their earnest efforts to make this event truly memorable.
Er Bodh Raj Verma, Dean Academics, R S Dalpatia, Dy Registrar, A.K.Kaul, TPO and senior faculty members Er Rhea Mahajan, Er Loveneesh Talwar and Dr Preeti Verma were present on the occasion.
