JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament

BHADERWAH/JAMMU, June 20: YCC Kalani, Halaya Cricket Club and Janipur Cricket Club scripted victories over their rivals in the ongoing District Level Cricket Tournament, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at various venues across the State.
The Tournament is being held under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad, Administrator JKCA; Chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA and overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA and Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission.
At Bhaderwah, Halaya Cricket Club defeated Chenab Tiger in an easy contest by 80 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, Halaya CC scored 181 runs in 23 overs. In reply, Chenab Tiger bundled out for 100 runs in 22 overs, thus lost the match by 80 runs. Toheed from Halaya Cricket Club was the star performer, who scored 49 runs and took 5 important wickets. He was adjudged as the man of the match for brilliant all-round show.
At Sports Stadium Poonch, YCC Kalani defeated Diwan Riders by five wickets to enter the second round of the District Level Cricket Tournament being held under the banner of J&K Cricket Association (JKCA).
Earlier, Diwan Riders lost all the wickets for 114 runs in 21 overs of the 40 overs a side match. Sajid and Aftab were main scorers with 30 and 31 runs respectively. From YCC, Sajid took three wickets while Altaf bagged two.
In reply, YCC Kalani chased the target of 115 runs in 18.1 overs with five wickets in hand. Vivek played fine innings of 50 runs while Javaid and Adnan contributed 21 and 17 runs respectively.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical penal including Rajinder Singh Toofan, Sanjay Misri and Amandeep Sharma.
At GGM Sciecne College Hostel ground, Janipur Cricket Club defeated Home Runners CC by 4 wickets. Batting first, Home Runners scored 116 runs in 16.1 overs. Tabassum and Ateeb scored 21 runs each, while Sohail contributed 18 runs to the total. Naman and Banish took 3 wickets each, while Tarun claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Janipur Cricket Club chased the target in 17.5 overs by losing 6 wickets to win the match by 4 wickets. Naman top scored with 33 runs, while Sahil and Bunty contributed 18 and 14 runs to the total respectively. Sohail took 3 wickets, while Shahzad bagged 2 and Wajid claimed 1 wicket. Naman was adjudged as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Rahul Kumar and Ashok Singh as umpires.
