DODA, Sept 18: 2-days 27th Annual Bhallessa Doda historic Wrestling event was organized by Chenab Valley Wrestling Association in collaboration with Rashtriya Riffles 4 (Indian Army) at Gandoh, here today.
The Championship was held under the overall supervision of Chairman Association Kewel Singh Manhas; Hukam Singh Mangotra, Chief Organiser; Murtaza Ali Batt; GM Dar; Gh Hussain; Manir Ahmed Sheikh; Mohd Ashraf Kholie and other members of the Dangal Committee.
45vbouts were played in the twp days long Vishal Dangal wherein Wrestlers from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and J&K participated.
SDM Bhellessa, Choudhary Dilmar was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away cash prize to the winners.
Tvice Amrish, Major 4RR JN; Tehsildar Gandoh Sdpo Krishan Singh and SHO Sajid Mugal were the guests of honour.
The first main bout was fought between Nissar from Bhallesa and Wrestler Sulaman from Jammu, which was won by Nissar, who was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 30,000 by SDM Gandoh and Amrish Tvice RR 4 and other dignitaries, while runners-up Wrestler Sulaman got Rs 20,000.
