Wrestler Benia lifts 15th Shiv Khori Kesari title

JAMMU, Mar 12: Wrestler Benia of J&K Police outplayed wrestler Parveen of Haryana and lifted the title trophy of the “15th Shiv Khori Kesari” competition at Government High School, Ransoo.
J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association organized the wrestling competition in collaboration with J&K Tourism Department Ransoo Dangal Committee and District Administration, Reasi under the supervision of President of the Association Shiv Kumar Sharma.
On the occasion, Shiv Khori Mela officer and tehsildar RK Anand was the chief guest, who awarded the winner and runner-up in presence of Shiv Kumar Sharma, DySP CRPF Rajinder Singh, retd Lecturer Mubarik Singh, Sarpanchs Paul Chand, Kewal Krishan, Swarn Singh, Shamsher Singh, besides other dignitaries.
Shiv Kumar Sharma and President Ransoo Dangal Committee Kewal Krishan gave Rs 13,000 cash prize and Silver Gurj to wrestler Benia, while Rs 12,000 was given to runner up wrestler Parveen.
