JAMMU, July 23: Two days national workshop on “E-Content Development & Management” began in Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Prof R D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, was the chief guest in the inaugural session whereas Dr Dalip Barad, Head Department of English, Bhavnagar University, Gujrat and Dr Mahesh N Jiwani, Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics Science from Saurashtra University, were the Resource Persons.
Prof R D Sharma exhorted the efforts of the organizers for organizing such an informative workshop which will enhance the teaching abilities and develop good communication skills to teach the students who come up with new ideas while belonging to the new generation of learners.
In her welcome address, Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College, dwelt upon the need of equipping oneself with the digital world and teaching students via latest technology.
Prof Amit Pal Kaur introduced the missions and objectives of conducting this workshop on the innovative way of teaching the teachers while dealing with the new generation in the class.
In the first day, two technical sessions were held on the topics – “Pedagogical implications: Using ICT tools in the Education” and “An Introduction to Authoring Tools and related web applications – for teachers”.
It was attended by large number of participants, teachers and students from different corners of the country.
