JAMMU, Jan 29: The two days Workshop on Communication Skills and Personality Development concluded at GGM Science College, here today.
On the second and final day today, there were four interactive sessions.
Dr. Garima Gupta from the Department of English, University of Jammu was the resource person in the first session.
She delivered her talk on Strategies for Effective Communication. It was followed by the observations and queries from the student participants from different Colleges.
Throughout the day, there were four sessions in which Prof Shaveta Gupta, Dr Seema Malpotra and Prof Yasmeen Mughal acted as Resource Persons.
All the sessions were followed by interactions with the participants. During the two days the students were given practical training in writing exercises, pronunciation drill and spoken English practice.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory session in which Dr. Ashok Kumar, Senior-most faculty member and HoD Chemistry of G.G.M. Science College was the chief guest.
In his address Dr. Kumar congratulated the organizing committee for providing an opportunity to the students for honing their communication skills. He also hoped that the Department of English in collaboration with the Department of Life Long Learning, University of Jammu will continue to organize such events for the benefit of students.
During this session participants from different colleges gave their observations and elaborated on the benefits which they received during the two days.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Monika Bhau, while the vote of thanks was presented by Prof Shalini Rana.
