WFA delegates visit India to inspect venues for Asian Wushu C’ship

JAMMU, Jan 16: The trio of Julian Camacho, Vice President Wushu Federation of Asia and Executive Member of International Wushu Federation (IWUF); Jian Xiaobing, Technical Chairman Wushu Federation of Asia & Technical Member of International Wushu Federation and Cristina Chan Office Secretary WFA visited India today to inspect the venues for holding 10th Asian Wushu Championship.
They visited Olympic Association Office and met Dr Narinder Dhruv Batra (President) and other officials of the IOA. President Wushu Association of India, Bhupender Singh Bajwa briefed the president that India is hosting 10th Asian Wushu Championship at IG Stadium from November 2 to November 8, 2020.
He said more than 600 players from 32 countries will participate in the championship.
Dr Batra assured full support from the Indian Olympic Association for the success of the event.
Later the delegation also met Joint Secretary (Sports) Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Inderjeet Dhameja, who also assured support from the Ministry.
The other officials who attended the meeting were Vijay Saraf & Manish Kacker, Vice Presidents; Suhel Ahmed (General Secretary); Shivendra Nath Dubey (Treasurer); Sudershan (Jt Secretary) and Kuldeep Handoo, Chief Wushu Coach of India.
