WCC Red, Tawi CC script wins

JAMMU, Jan 11: WCC Red and Tawi Cricekt Club emerged winners by defeating Mahadev Cricket Club and Sharda Cricket Club with 15 runs and 10 wickets respectively in the ongoing CL Chrangoo Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at Country Cricket Ground Amb Gharota, here today.
The first match of the tournament was played between WCC Red and Mahadev CC. Toss was won by WCC Red and they decided to bat first. The WCC Red gave target of 165 runs by losing 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs match. Rohan Koul made highest score of 68 off 46 balls, whereas Raja Saleem and Jahangir Bhat contributed 52 and 14 runs respectively.
From bowling side, Rohit Sharma took three wickets by conceding 23 runs, whereas Raman bagged two wickets and Divayansh Abdul Majid bagged one wicket each.
In reply, the Mahadev CC failed to achieve target in 20 overs match. Arjun made highest 70 runs, while Summit and Raghav contributed 44 and 9 runs respectively. From bowling side, Ishtiyaq clinched two wickets while Rohan Koul, Raman and Jahangir bagged one wicket each.
Rohan Koul was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance with bat and ball.
In second match, Tawi CC won the match with 10 wickets by defeating Sharda CC. Batting first Sharda CC, made 80 runs by losing all wickets in 16.1 overs. Atul Koul made 32 runs. From bowling side, Kartik and Kamran took three and two wickets respectively, whereas Yawar, Adil and Bhuvnesh clinched one wicket each.
In reply, the Tawi Cricket Club won the match by not losing a single wicket in 7.2 overs. Yawar was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Gharu Ram and Arun Bakshi, whereas Tanish acted as scorer.
