GURGAON, May 1: Defeating Salwan School Parents Forum (SSPF) by a narrow margin of 5 runs in the summit clash, Valley View Pink Power  (VVPP) team lifted the title trophy of the ongoing All Ladies Cricket League, first of its kind initiative in NCR on women empowerment, organised by GuGu Events and Adventures in collaboration with Ryder Sports Academy in Gurgaon.
Earlier, Valley View Pink Power won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Valley View scored 98 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 15 overs.
In reply, Salwan School Parents Forum bundled out for 93 runs in 14.3 overs, thus Valley View beat SSPF by 5 runs in the first ever edition of ALCL- 2017.
Gunjan was the top scorer with 42 runs for Valley View Pink Power, which fetched her Woman of the match award.
The participating teams in this Tournament included Sharda Cricket Club, Gurgaon; Valley View Pink Power; Utsav Cricket Club and Salwan School Parents Forum (SSPF).
Dharna Yadav, ACP Headquarters was the chief guest on the occasion, while Maj Gen (Retd) SK Razdan, a war veteran, Vijay Aima, President All India Kashmiri Samaj, Ramesh Kapoor, Chairperson Ajanta Public School, Gurgaon and Raj Nehru Vice Chancellor, Vishwakarma University were present on the occasion.
The presentation ceremony had glittering ALCL trophies and other prizes to be given away to the meritorious players. The woman of the series award and the best batswoman award was won by Puja Mangal of SSPF, while the  best bowler award for ALCL tournament was awarded to  Pranita of Valley View Pink Power and the best wicketkeeper award went to Dalwinder of SSPF Women Power. The best fielder award went to Poornima Koul of Team Utsav.
