Vishal Kings wins thriller to lift Khelo Khel Bhulo Nasha T20 Championship

JAMMU, Apr 2: Jammu Vishal Kings got better of Jammu Rising Stars in a thriller by one wicket and lifted the title trophy of the “Khelo Khel Bhulo Nasha T20 Championship” at Parade Ground, here.
The Cricket Series for Junior Cricketers in which 8 teams namely Jammu Rising Stars, RRL Royals, Sehwag Daredevils, Little Flowers Akhnoor, KC Warriors, MIER Shining Stars, Satwari Cantt Challengers and Vishal Kings Jammu participated was organized by District Police Jammu under Civic Action Program by Sunil Gupta SSP Jammu, SP City North was the head of the organizing team, whereas Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer and former Ranji Trophy Player was the Coordinator and the other Committee members included Vivek Shekhar, DySP City and Dheeraj SHO, Pacca Danga, Jammu.
In the Valedictory Func-tion, Dr Vinod Kumar SP City was the Chief Guest, while SP Headquarter Ramesh Kotwal presided over the function. Vivek Shekhar, DySP City was the special guest on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest appreciated the young cricketers for showing extraordinary cricketing skills in the tournament and also greeted the winners and encouraged the runner-up team.
He further said that J&K Police is regularly conducting sports events for the youth of the state with a twin purpose of promoting sports and helping youth not to derail from the mainstream.
Earlier, in the final match, Jammu Vishal Kings defeated Jammu Rising Stars by 1 wicket in a thriller.
Batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored a modest total of 108 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, with Sachin (23), Abhay (20) and  Aditpal  (18) and Praful (15) being the main scorers.
From Vishal Stars, Dhruv took 2 wickets, while Amit, Jugjap, Nalin and Umar took 1 wicket each.
Jammu Vishal Kings, in reply, achieved the target   on the last ball of the 20th over of the game for the loss of 9 wickets, thus won the match by 1 wicket. Smarpit and Jugjap scored 21 runs each, while Akhit contributed 19 runs.
For Jammu Rising Stars, Praful took 2 wickets, while Abhay, Ashim and Adityapal took 1 wicket each. Smarpit was adjudged as man of the match for his crucial knock.
Sachin Sharma was declared as man of the series, Shivansh was adjudged as best batsman and Abhay Tondon as best bowler.
Cash Prize of Rs.5000 was also awarded to the winning team.
The final match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Saleem-Ur-Rehman and Vinod, while the proceedings of the valedictory function were conducted by Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA.
