Vishal Club, Srinagar Eleven register resounding victories

JAMMU, Oct. 29: Vishal Cricket Club and Srinagar Eleven registered convincing wins over their rivals  in the ongoing  6th Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup,  being played at KC School ground, here.
The tournament in which 12 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Simula Club, KC Sports Club and J&K Sports Promoters Club.
Earlier, in the first match, Vishal Cricket Club defeated KC Academy by 8 wickets.
Batting first, KC Sports Academy scored 111 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for loss of 7 wickets.
Yudhamanyu (47), Uttkarsh (23) and Shoiab (11) were the main scorers. From Vishal Club, Abhinav took 2 wickets, while Rajesh Gill, Ramandeep, Mohit and Ashim claimed 1 wicket each.
Vishal Club, in reply, achieved the target in 12.2 overs  by losing 2 wickets, thus won  the match by 8 wickets. Abhinav Puri played a brilliant innings of 73 runs, while Rohan Gill and Ramandeep Singh contributed 13 and 12 runs to the total respectively. From bowling side, Aryan and Hardeep took 1 wicket each. Abhinav Puri was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Srinagar Eleven defeated Eleven Star Jammu by 91 runs.
Batting first, Srinagar Eleven scored 199 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs with Obaid Haroon (75), Rouf Bisati (47) and Gulzar (24) being the main scorers. Sunil Sambyal took 3 wickets, while Nasha and Dheeraj claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Eleven Star Jammu made 108 in 16.2 overs. Dheeraj scored 28 runs while Irshad and Suresh contributed 27 and 18 runs respectively. From bowling side, Ishtiaq took 4 wickets, Shabir bagged 3, Raqib scalped 2 and Obaid claimed one. Obaid Haroon was declared as the man of the match.
