JAMMU, Aug 23: Talented shuttler Vipul Saini got better of strong contender Divum Gupta in the summit clash to emerge champion in men’s category in the trials organized by Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association for North Zone Interstate Championship at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
In men’s doubles final, Vikram and Vipul defeated Rahul and Manish (2-0).
In Under-19 boys singles final;, Raghav Dogra prevailed over Adam by (2-0), while in Under-19 boys doubles final, Harsh and Akshay defeated Puranjay and Nakul.
In Under-19 girls singles, Niteshi Saini toppled Pehushee Mahajan by (2-1), while in Under-19 girls doubles, Poorvi and Rashmi defeated Nirteshi and Pehushee.
In women’s singles, Keerat got better of Pehushee (2-0), while in doubles, Rashmi and Rupal prevailed over Niteshi and Pehushee (2-0).
In Under-19 Mixed doubles final, Savinay and Niteshi defeated Aryan and Pehushee (2-0), while in Senior Mixed doubles, Manish and Keerat trounced Raghav and Rupal (2-0).
The matches were officiated by SAI Badminton coach, Satpal Sharma, Balbir Jamwal, Rahul Sharma and Pawanjeet Singh.
