DELHI, Nov 16: The Khyber Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Polo Cup 2015 concluded in Delhi yesterday.
The final match was played between Jindal Panther and Mundota Fort & Palace Achievers, and won by Mundota Fort & Palace Achievers by (8-4).
Being one of the most prestigious and competitive tournaments of the Delhi polo season it was very well attended by sports fraternity, enthusiasts and high society.
The grand finale was hosted by Vikramaditya Singh, J&K MLC and grandson of Maharaja Hari Singh who presented the trophy to the winning team along with the chief guest, Anurag Thakur, Member of Parliament and Secretary BCCI.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were MP, Jyotiraditya Scindia, former MP and top industrialist, Naveen Jindal, Vice-President of the Army Polo and Riding Club, Major General Mathews and a host of other high profile dignitaries.
The sponsors for the event this year included the title partner; The Khyber Resort and Spa-Gulmarg and co-sponsor, Yes Bank Limited.
The Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Polo Cup is an annual event in the national IPA (Indian Polo Association) calendar and was instituted by Vikramaditya Singh in 1996. It was constituted in the memory of Maharaja Hari Singh who himself was a great patron of the sport and a legendary polo player.
