JKCC, Singh Club Akhnoor register narrow victories

JAMMU, Nov 16: Jath Kaka Cricket Club (JKCC) and Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor registered narrow wins over their rivals in the ongoing 4th Ravi Singh Charak Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Satwari Cantt ground, here.
In the first match, Singh Club Akhnoor defeated Khalsa Club by 2 wickets. Batting first, Khalsa Club scored 141 runs in 18.2 overs. Vinay, Sunny and Nadeem contributed 41, 40 and 20 runs respectively. Mohit was the pick of the bowlers for Singh Club, who took 4 important wickets, while Nitin and Amrpreet took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Singh Club chased the target in 18.5 overs by losing 8 wickets, thus won the match by 2 wickets. Lucky top scored with 39 runs, while Nitin and Harpreet contributed 29 and 27 runs respectively. Chander Kiran took 3 wickets, while Sunny and Sham Singh claimed 2 wickets each. Mohit was adjudged man of the match.
In another match, JKCC defeated Love Cricket Club by a narrow margin of 6 runs. Batting first, JKCC scored a big total of 183 runs, WITH Bunty, Kaka and Jonny scoring 57, 48 and 32 runs respectively. Aman took3 wickets, while Sumit and Love claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Love Club fell just 6 runs short, scoring 177 runs in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Ashu played a brilliant innings of 79 runs, Ishan and Prince contributed 52 and 32 runs respectively. Aman and Narinder took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Bunty was declared man of the match.
