Vikram Singh emerges strongest man, Rabia strongest woman

JAMMU, Sept 11: Vikram Singh emerged strongest man, while Rabia Kanam became strongest woman in the1st Open J&K Bench Press Championship, which concluded at Kotli Bhawan, OPP, Arya Samaj Mandir, Rehari Colony, here.
Mandeep Singh and Varun Deep won the second and third place in men’s section, while Preeti Koul bagged second spot in women’s section.
Manoj Prabhakar, Deputy Controller Legal Metrology was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners, while Girdhari Lal Sharma was the guest of honour. Vipul Gupta owner of Formation Gym was the organizer of the event.
The gold medals in various categories included Mukesh Kumar, Shubham Thakyal, Tarun Dev Singh, Vikrant Singh, Ankit Singh, Varun Deep, Manjeet Singh, Bunty Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar and Dhamok (all men’s category); Mahima, Ishu, Esha, Abhu, Preeti Koul, Arti Manhas and Rabia Kanam (all women’s category) and Bimal Indu (Master’s category).
