JAMMU, Nov 12: Outplay-ing their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, cueists Vidit Gowri and Abhi Gupta sealed berth in the finals and will lock horns against each other in the summit clash of the Senior Snooker Championship, which is a part of the ongoing 23rd Jammu District Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship, being organized by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the semifinals matches played today, Vidit Gowri defeated Abhishek Pathania (4-2) by (51-29, 41-55, 71-34, 81-48, 38-62, 33-30), while Abhi Gupta got better of Sohail Khalid (4-2) by (55-29, 36-46, 40-56, 55-40, 60-32, 73-38).
Meanwhile, in Senior Snooker Championship at Srinagar, Fayaz defeated Azan by (56-49, 68-51), Umer Himanyun beat Sameer (60-30, 67-32), Adnan Amin trounced Zahoor Ahmed by (60-55, 52-32) and Raahil got better of Ishan by (51-58, 65-10, 49-20).
In Junior Snooker at Srinagar, Yawar prevailed over Aqib by (59-74, 71-53, 43-28), Azan Rashid beat Faizan Mushtaq by (70-03, 61-47), Atther toppled Saahil by (75-29, 66-39) and Zohaib outplayed Owais by (15-56, 58-55, 59-50).
