Birpur defeats Youth Bhalessa in All India T20 Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Nov 12: Birpur Cricket Club defeated Youth Cricket Club Bhalessa by 35 runs in the All India T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at MA Stadium, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Birpur scored 156 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Aman Singh was the top scorer with 68 runs, while Rajeev Sharma and Gagan Dutta scored 35 and 23 runs to the total respectively. For YCC Bhalessa, Asrar-ul-Haq Naresh and Qatar Choudhary claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, YCC Bhalessa managed to score 121 runs in 17.4 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus lost the match by 35 runs. Sunny Parihar, Shahid Choudhary and Vijender Singh scored 26, 20 and 15 runs respectively. For Birpur Club, Rajeev Sharma, Gagan Dutta and Ladda took 2 wickets each. Rajeev Sharma was adjudged as man of the match.
Meanwhile, in another match played yesterday, Guru Nanak Cricket Club (GNCC) defeated Raja Cricket Club by 7 wickets in an easy contest.
Winning the toss and batting first, Raja Cricket Club scored a modest total of 136 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Ritik was the top scorer with 37 runs, while Yogesh and Prem Aryan contributed 26 runs each. For GNCC, Rakesh and Sachin took 2 wickets each, while Anuj Sharma claimed one wicket.
In reply, GNCC achieved the target in 17.3 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Aman Singh was the top scorer with 45 runs, studded with 5 fours and 3 sixes, while Mukesh Sharma and Gulshan Kumar contributed 19 and 18 runs to the total respectively. For Raja Cricket Club, Jagdev Singh took 2 wickets, while Yogesh claimed one wicket. Aman Singh was adjudged as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali, Dayal Singh, Sachin Singh and Mukesh Sharma as umpires, while Virender Singh was the scorer.
The matches are being held under the supervision of the organizers Asrar-ul-Haq and Kulbir Manhas.
