JAMMU, Jan 14: Marking the momentous occasion of Golden Jubilee of 1971 war and venerate the superlative contribution of the veterans, Sunrise Brigade of Tiger Division organised victory run wherein nearly 71 soldiers ran over a distance of 50 km by carrying a mashal.
The run was traversing from number of places of the districts including Samba and Jammu and finally culminated at Bari Brahmana, where large numbers of veterans were gathered to commemorate the victory.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the Sunrise Brigade of Tiger Division has been commemorating the Golden Jubilee of the 1971 war since last four days by organising different functions.
The victory run not only instilled a sense of pride amongst the serving soldiers about their stupendous past but also helped spreading awareness about the chivalry of Armed forces amongst the society at large.
