Vice Chancellor’s XI scripts win

RAJOURI, Dec 13: Vice Chancellor’s XI emerged winner defeating Dean’s XI by 4 wickets in a Tennis Ball Cricket match, organised by the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, here today.
The championship was organised to celebrate the 18th foundation day of the University.
Batting first, Dean’s XI secured 40 runs in the stipulated overs which was chased by VC’s XI by losing 6 wickets and registered 4 wickets over Dean’s XI.
Professor Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Akbar Masood appreciated both the teams for their active participation in the sports and highlighted the importance of games and sports in developing personality of the youth and shaping their future.
Professor Iqbal Pervaz Dean Academic Affairs, Prof  GM Malik Dean Education, Prof Asif Hussain Dean SoET, Mohd Ishaq Registrar, Mohammed Rashid Chowdhary OSD Sports, Suneet Gupta Joint Registrar and Special Secretary to HVC, Mohammad Din were present during the event.
