JAMMU, Mar 18: Ace fencer Riya Bakshi and gritty Judoka Shikha Bhau, students of Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) have won the gold and bronze medals respectively in Khelo India University Games 2020 held at KIIT, Bubaneswar, Odisha.
Cluster University of Jammu remained on 3rd position in Fencing (Women) Competition in these Games.
Both the players were felicitated by Prof Anju Bhasin, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu in the presence of Registrar, Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Dean Students Welfare, Dr Twinkle Suri and Sports Coordinator , Dr Vinod Bakshi.
The Vice Chancellor along with other dignitaries lauded the spectacular performance of both the players who have brought laurels to the University as ambassadors.
The Vice Chancellor also assured unyielding support to promote sports in the University which will further accentuate sense of achievement, camaraderie and national pride among young learners.
