Vansh shines as J&K wins bronze in Fencing Nationals

JAMMU, Nov 14: Ace fencer Vansh Mahajan sparkles as Jammu and Kashmir bagged bronze medal in junior sabre team event in the ongoing XXIV Junior National Fencing Championship, being organized by Manipur Fencing Association, under the aegis of Indian Fencing Federation at Imphal in Manipur.
J&K team comprised of Vansh Mahajan, Kushal, Karun and Rudra, who all displayed fabulous fencing skills, to claim bronze in the Championship.
Vansh, student of Government Polytechnic College, Jammu, led from the front and grabbed maximum points to help his team beat Kerala and Gujarat by 15-12 and 45-7 respectively, before losing to Haryana in a close contest by 45-38 in the semifinals.
Principal, Govt Polytechnic College Jammu, Ritu Jamwal has congratulated Vansh and his team for this achievement.
