UT level Badminton C’ship in full swing

JAMMU, Mar 22: The 48th J&K UT level Badminton Championship, organised by Badminton Association of J&K is going on full swing at Indoor Hall MA Stadium, here today.
On the 3rd day of the championship, Shourya Pratham trounced Kevin Kadian by 2-0, while Gopesh Singh beat Shivansh by 2-0 in under-13 boys category, while in girls category under-13, Snowy Goswami defeated Pavini Gupta by 2-0 and Suhani Sharma trounced Suhani Gupta by 2-1 and in under-15 boys, Bahavdeep Singh beat Udhyan Sharma by 2-0, whereas in under-15 girls, Shambhavi Rajput defeated Suhani Sharma and Snowy Goswami beat Shrijush Sharma by 2-0 each.
In under-17 boys, Abhijit Jasrotia trounced Saarthak Jain by 2-1, while Sourya Pratham defeated Ojas Suri by 2-0 and Vaibhav Mehta got better of Thakur Ayush by 2-1, whereas in girls category, Unnati Jaral beat Shambhavi Rajput by 2-0 and Krishika Mahajan defeated Snowy Goswami by 2-0. In boy’s under-19, Thakur Ayush beat Ojas Suri by 2-1, whereas in girl’s category, Unnati Jaral trounced Shambhavi Rajpurt and Krishika Mahajan beat Bhavini Dalpatia by 2-0 each.
In under-17 boys, Ibrahim Qureshi beat Vaibhav Mehta by 2-0, whereas in under-19 boys and in women section, Unnati Jaral beat Krishika Mahajan and Snowy Goswami trounced Bhavini Dalpatia by 2-0 each.
The matches were officiated under the supervision of Vikram Saini, Tossiff Ahmad and Divam Gupta.
Prominent persons of Association and others including Dr OD Sharma, Col DV Sharma, Balbir Jamwal, Iftikar Wani, Rahul Sharma, Pawanjit Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Sunil, Gurkha, Anil Gurkha and Vivek Mehta were present during the occasion.
