REASI, Oct 25: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Reasi, organized the UT-Level Archery Competition for All Age Group (AAG) Boys at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Katra.
Dhruv Gupta, Assistant CEO, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and Director, SMVD Sports Complex, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He was welcomed by Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi, along with officials, coaches, and selectors.
In his address, Dhruv Gupta motivated young archers and highlighted the legacy of the SMVD Archery Range, which produced Arjuna Awardees Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar. On this occasion, DYSS Reasi also felicitated Olympian and Gold Medalist Rakesh Kumar for his international achievements. Participants will compete in Indian, Recurve, and Compound events. Among others present were Danish Sharma, Jaydeep Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and Rishav Dubey.
