JAMMU, Nov 19: UCC Udhampur got better of Gandhi Nagar Fighters by 7 wickets in the Col R N Chopra Under-14 Boys Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Col Chopra Cricket Academy at IIIM-CSIR ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Gandhi Nagar Fighters scored a modest total of 87 runs in 18 overs. Naeem and Hashain contributed 16 and 12 runs to the total respectively. For UCC, Ashank took 4 wickets, while Dikshant and Avinash bagged 2 wickets each. Ankit and Uday claimed one wicket each.
In reply, UCC reached the target by losing 3 wicket and won the match by 7 wickets. Reshav and Dikshant scored 24 and 22 runs respectively.
The match was officiated by Akash Manhas and Deepak Dogra as umpires, while the tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sukomal Ganguly.
