UCC, SCC qualify for next round

First Sopore T-20 Cricket Contest

SRINAGAR, July 10: United Cricket Club (UCC) and Syndicate Cricket Club (SCC) Sopore outplayed their opponents and advanced to next round of the ongoing Sopore T20 Cricket Contest organized by J&K Police at Khushal Sports Stadium Sopore.
The first match was played between United Cricket Club (UCC) and Yousuf Strikers Baba Yousuf. Batting first after winning the toss Baba Yousuf scored 135 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated overs.
In the second inning, United Cricket Club (UCC) accomplished the target in 17 overs with four wickets still in hand.
Iqbal was declared as man of the match who scored 43 runs and scalped one wicket.
The second match of the tournament was played between Shah Rafiq Cricket Club and Syndicate Cricket Club Sopore.
Shah Rafiq Club played first and scored 122 runs setting a moderate target before the opposite team.
While batting, Syndicates chased the target in 19.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Feroze Ahmad of the winning team was declared man of the match, for his 30 runs contribution.
