JAMMU, Aug 28: In a one-sided and last game of three matches T-20 series, UCC RS Pura managed to conveniently defeat Media XI Cricket Club Jammu by eight wickets, thus ending the series on a draw.
After winning the toss Media XI Cricket Club, led by Yash Khajuria, was bundled out at modest 86 runs with Ashu Mehra top scorer (25). Media XI CC lost wickets at regular intervals, thus failing to register any competitive chase for UCC RS Pura. From UCC RS Pura, Ravi wreaked havoc by clinching four wickets, supported by Raja and Pamma who each took two wickets.
While chasing an easy target of 87 runs, UCC RS Pura started with some blitzing shots over the boundaries before Faheem Tak claimed wicket of Ashni, who had already scored 39 runs. Later, Sunil Thappa caught and bowled Ashwani, but the damage was done.
Ravi for his tremendous bowling was adjudged as player of the match. This was the third and last match of the series, which resulted in the draw of the series.
The first match of the series was won by Media XI by huge margin, whereas the second match was washed away because of rains.
