JAMMU, Jan 31: Thatri Cricket Club and Youth Combine Cricket Club Bhaderwah registered resounding victories in the Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, Doda.
Earlier, the first match was played between Thatri Cricket Cricket Club and Gundna Cricket Club, wherein Thatri Cricket Cricket Club while batting scored 129 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in stipulated 13 overs. Arshad and Mubashir scored 39 runs each, while from Gundna Cricket club, Waseem and Imtiayz took 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
In reply, Gundna Cricket club managed only 55 runs to lose the match by 74 runs. Waseem was the top scorer with 33 runs. For Thatri Cricket Cricket Club, Arshad was the wrecker-inchief, who scalped 7 important wickets.
Arshad was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance.
In the second match played between Rajput Cricket Club Doda and Youth Combine Cricket Club Bhaderwah, latter won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, they scored 152 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. in their stipulated 15 overs. Abid Mushtaq and Sameer Malik contributed 29 and 25 runs to the total respectively. From Rajput Cricket Club Doda Susheel and Nadeem took 3 and 1 wickets.
In reply, Rajput Cricket Club Doda managed only 80 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sanjay scored 26 runs, while from Youth Combine Cricket Club Bhaderwah, while Touseef and Mehran took 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
Touseef Malik was adjudged man of the match.
