JAMMU, Mar 2: The Jammu & Kashmir Tug-of-War Association has selected teams to participate in the forthcoming 33rd Senior and 33rd Junior Tug-of-War Championships (Men & Women) which are scheduled to be held at March 6 to 8 (Senior) and March 9 to 11 (Junior) respectively at Agra Uttar Pradesh.
The teams were selected at New Indoor Sports Complex MA Stadium, here under the supervision of J&K Sports Council Screening Committee headed by Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu and Satish Gupta, Manager MA Stadium along with Hardeep Singh Anand, president of the Tug-of- War Association, Jodh Singh Isher, general secretary and Gautam Shukla J&K Sports Council Jammu.
The selected player for the 33rd Senior Men included Shivam Raina, Suresh, Imitaz, Aadil Aftab, Abhishek, Hanan Farooq, Mohd Sami, Iman, Adil Manzoor and Jawar, whereas team for 33rd Senior Women included Vasvi Gupta, Arati, Sumira, Geetanzli, Suman Bala, Suraya Rashid, Shamsum Nisa, Amrita Sani, Hamia Gull and Sameena Rashid.
The selected team for 33rd Junior Men was Ankit Choudhary, Sourav, Arun, Raashid, Sofi Sahid, Shah Faizan, Peerzada Muntazir, Peerzada Abzur, Basharat Bashir and Sah Samsul, whereas team of 33rd Junior mix 4+4 included Govind, Abhsihek, Kifayat, Peerzada Imran, Safan Farooq, Manant Bhagat, Sharon James, Arbeena, Khair-Un-Nassa and Umaiya Reyaz.
