Super Sixes Cricket Tourney concludes

JAMMU, Jan 30: Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh branch of the NIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India hosted two days Super Sixes Cricket Tournament for Chartered Accountants at KC Sports Club Cricket Ground, here today.
Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta was the chief guest while Avny Lavasa, Commissioner JMC was the guest of honour on the inaugural session.
The final match was played between Team Dark Green and Team Neon Orange wherein former lifted the title trophy. Batting first, the Team Dark Green gave a target of 75 runs, whereas the opponent team failed to chase the target and bundled out at 66 runs.
Eight teams participated in the tournament were Chartered Accountants and CA students including Team Neon Green, Team Yellow, Team Dark Green and Team Neon Orange advanced into semi-finals on first day of the tournament by defeating Team Grey, Team Light Green, Team Orange and Team Blue respectively.
In semi-finals, Team Dark Green defeated Team Yellow, whereas Team Neon Orange trounced Team Neon Green.
Prof Dr Ashutosh Sharma, vice president Indian Olympic Association was the chief guest, Rajan Sharma, Hony general secretary J & K amateur Boxing Association and SK Sharma, Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax, were the guests of honour of the concluding ceremony and they presented the winning trophy to the winning team, whereas other trophies were distributed by chairman of the branch, CA Lalit Kumar Gupta amongst the runner-up teams.
Best batsman award of the tournament was given to CA Shubham Gupta and best bowler award went to CA Ritesh Arora, whereas Adv Anil Sharma and CA Parveen Dogra were acted as umpires.
