JAMMU, May 18: Tarandeep Singh has been selected in the Indian team for the upcoming World Bench Press Championship, scheduled to be held at Sun City South Africa from May 20 to 27.
Tarandeep Singh was selected on the basis of his performance in recently held National Bench Press Championship held at Aurangabad, where he won Gold in junior category in 93kg category.
JKP Inspector Vinod Sharma, Assistant Sub Inspector Vijay Sharma, Ajay Sharma general secretary of the All J&K UT Powerlifting Association and Umesh Raina, Veteran Powerlifting of J&K appreciated the achievement of the player and wished him good luck for the upcoming championship.
