Taekwondo self defence camp for girls inaugurated

POONCH, Apr 3: District Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association organized Taekwondo self defence camp for Girls in Collaboration with District Administration and Department of Youth services and Sports at Boys Higher Secondary School, here today.
About 100 young girls are taking part in the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Zamood Ahmed Manager DIC Poonch, whereas AEE Tariq Mehmood Qureshi was guest of honour on the occasion.
The chief guest interacted with all the participants after the inauguration and congratulated the Association for organising self defence camp especially for women. The camp is being sponsored by Mohd Tanveer PO ICDS.
Earlier, Rajinder Singh (PET) instructor of the training camp said that the main aim of this camp was to support Prime Minister Fit India Movement’s initiative. Few demonstrations of self defence were also displayed during the inaugural ceremony.
Amit Kumar organising secretary of the Association and Matinder Pal Singh Hockey coach were also present during the event.
