UDHAMPUR, Dec 28: Three days District Udhampur Open Table Tennis Championship commenced today at Indoor Sports Hall here.
On the opening ceremony, SSP Udhampur Rajiv Pandey was the chief guest whereas DySP Headquarter Rohit Chadwal was the guest of honor.
Earlier, floral tributes were paid to Late Devinder Sharma (Munna Thanda) former General Secretary.
General Secretary of the Association Tarun presented the welcome address.
SSP Udhampur Rajiv Pandey conveyed his best wishes to all the participants.
Sub Junior Boys and Junior Girls matches were played on the first day.
In Sub Junior, Sparsh beat Vinay by 2-1, Archit Mahajan beat Pranav by 2-1 and Aditya Thappa beat Rudraksh by 2-0.
In Junior Girls, Palak beat Neha Sharma by 2-0 and Sonali beat Shivali Rajput by 2-1.
On the occasion, DYSSO Udhampur, Manager Sports Council Shaktish Chopra, Ankit Sharma Joint Secretary, Prikshit Khajuria Treasurer, Sunny Sharma Vice President, Anupama, Sanjay Sharma, Amit Sharma and Karun Magotra were present.
The matches were officiated by Maninder Singh, Varun Gupta, Sourav Sharma, Vipin and Sanjeev Verma.
