SAMBA, Mar 7: District Information Centre, Samba today organized a symposium on the topic “Importance of Education for the upliftment of the Society ” here at National High School Samba.
Sarpanch, Varinder Singh Sambyal, was the chief guest at the debate competition in which a number of students of the Schools took part in the Competition. Anjali Sharma a student of class 9th was adjudged as best speaker, while Ridhima Kumari, Harshdev Singh Sambyal, Shaweta Bhagat 2nd and 3rd position respectively, besides Ritika Gupta and Shaweta Bhagat were also given consolation prizes. Prizes were given to winning students by the Information Department Samba.
Speaking on the occasion District Information Officer Vikas Anand said that main aim of organizing this competition is to motivate the students and encourage them to participate in such competitions to face the challenges of the world.
