RAJOURI, Sept 6: Government Post Graduate College Rajouri today organised a symposium on the topic ‘Teacher a role model for the society’, here today.
The event was a collaborative initiative of the literary and cultural committee and NSS wing of the College which was witnessed by students and members of teaching faculty.
Several students participated in the event and deliberated on the creative role of Teachers in shaping careers and characters. The programme was chaired by Prof (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina, College Principal. He stressed upon the need to help students to explore their real potential and nurture creativity, scientific reasoning, values and a humanistic vision among the students.
Prof Sadeeq, HoD Chemistry, Prof Asif Lone from Department of Physics and Dr Gulshan Bhat from Department of Geography judged the event wherein Humera Mirza and Shabeena Chowdhary won 1st and 2nd position respectively, whereas Shahid Malik got 3rd position.
