Super Seven Cricket Tournament gets underway at Samba

SAMBA, Aug 28: District Level Inter School Under-19 Boys Super Seven Cricket Tournament got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sunil Kumar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba.
8 teams comprising of 62 players participated in the tournament and vied for the top honours.
In the inaugural match, UPS Jatwal defeated GHSS Ghagwal in a close contest by 3 runs.
Batting first, UPS Jatwal scored 66 runs, while GHSS Ghagwal managed to score 63 runs to lose the match by 3 runs.
In another match, MV International School Vijaypur defeated Nav Vidhya Dhalote by a big margin of 42 runs, while in the 3rd match, GHSS Smailpur defeated GHSS Rajpura by 30 runs.
The matches were officiated by Jagmohan Singh, Daljeet Singh, Amit Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Neeraj Vishwakarma, Girdhari Lal, Arun Jamwal, Atul Sharma, Sunmit Singh and Sukershan Singh.
