Sunil’s ton helps Singh CC to beat Jammu Sports

JAMMU, Jan 30: Sunil Govil’s century (107) helped Singh Cricket Club (Singh CC) to trounce Jammu Sports by 36 runs in the Friendship Cup, organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, near here today.
Batting first, Singh CC Akhnoor scored 193 by losing 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs wherein Sunil Govil made highest 107 runs, while Rahul Manni and Sunil Ray contributed 43 and 19 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Vicky got 3 wickets, while Koushal Sharma clinched 2 wickets.
In reply, Jammu Sports made only 157 runs with the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs wherein Vicky scored 63 runs and Rajesh made 26 runs. From the bowling side, Binny Kesar and Abhinandan Sharma shared 2 wickets each, whereas Rahul Kumar, SS Langeh, Stiphen Sotra and Sunil Ray got one wicket each.
Sunil Govil was declared as man of the match for his outstanding batting performance.
