JAMMU, May 3: The students of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana brought laurels to the School by winning 25 medals in the 17th District Jammu Taekwondo Championship-2014.
The Championship was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Association at Multi Purpose Hall, M A Stadium in Jammu.
About 300 students from 12 schools and 5 clubs participated in this Championship. 39 students of HPS participated in it and won 8 gold, 7 silver and 10 bronze.
The medal winners included Rahul (9th), Aryan Jamwal (9th), Kuljeet Singh (9th), Neha Jaral (8th), Tamana Dogra (7th), Anshu Kumari (7th), Shefali Attri (5th) and Koushal Singh (4th) (all gold); Vishal Sharma (10th), Shivani Sharma (10th), Ankush (8th), Mansi Lalotra (7th), Deepak Kumar (7th) and Arti (5th) (all silver); Nikhil Jaral (10th), Yashwant (8th), Insha Malik (7th), Meenu Kokhar (7th), Bhanu Pratap (6th), Yogesh (6th), Rambabu (6th), Ramu (5th), Abhimanyu (4th) and Manyata Charak (4th) (all bronze).
These students were accorded warm reception by Gaurav Charak, School Principal alongwith Anku Charak (Vice Principal), Pankaj Mehra (coach), Poonam Sharma (coach) and the staff members.
On this occasion, the Principal said that the School Management is committed to promote Physical Education in the School.
