*Exhorts on improving employability of students

JAMMU, Apr 21: Terming Technical Education vital for producing well qualified human recourse who can substantially contribute to industrial growth , the Minister for Technical Education, IT and Youth Services & Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today stressed on improving employability of the students helping them to explore the avenues and create self- sustainable enterprises in the state.
The Minister was addressing the students and staff of Government Polytechnic college Jammu during its Annual Day cum Magazine release function here today.
The Minister said the government is keenly monitoring the progress of technical education institutions and measures are underway to upgrade all the Polytechnics and Industrial Training institutions viz a viz infrastructure and other logistic facilities so that students get quality education and skill enhancement.
He said that former Chief Minister, late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had a dream to see the polytechnics of the state developing and providing latest knowledge to the students and in this regard government is contemplating to install latest Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems in all institutions during current financial year.
Calling upon the students to work with dedication and optimally utilize their skill to meet the challenges of the competitive world and achieve success in all their endeavors.
On the occasion, the Minister also released the College Magazine ‘ASPIRE’ and felicitated the meritorious students of the college
The students presented various cultural items on the occasion which were highly appreciated by the audience .
The vote of thanks was presented by the Director Technical Education Shabnam Shah Kamli while welcome address was given by college principal Engineer Ritu Jamwal. The program was conducted by lecturer Instrumental and Control (I&C) Ms Sakshi.
Among others who were present on the occasion, include Joint Director Technical Education Taha Anddrabi, Secretary State Board of School education Mehmood Ahmad, Principal government Polytechnic for Women Jammu Neelanjana and senior officers of technical education and large number of students.
