UDHAMPUR, Nov 23: State Level Inter Division Handball Tournament for all age groups girls, being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports begins here at Subash Stadium.
About 80 players from both Jammu and Kashmir Division of J&K are participating in the Tournament.
Shashi Kumar Sharma Director Sports Education Department was the chief guest on the occasion, who declared tournament open.
While speaking on the occasion, Sharma stressed upon the participants to take part in such type of competitions to be physically and mentally fit as sports and games plays a vital role in the all around development of an individual.
In U-19 category, Jammu Division defeated Kashmir Division by 14-03 goals. Kashish from Jammu Division scored 5 goals, whereas in U-17 category, Jammu Division defeated Kashmir Division by 10-5 goals. Jyoti and Arushi from Jammu Division scored 4 goals each.
In U-14 category, Jammu Division defeated Kashmir Division by 6-5 goals. Somiya from Jammu Division scored 3 goals.
The matches were officiated by Manik Nargotra, Ravi Kumar, Vipen Photra, Karun Magotra, Vikrant Balgotra, Sanjeev Kumar, Bandana Sharma and Pooja Sharma.
Among others present on the occasion were Pawan Kumar ZPEO Panchari, Deepika Manhas PEM, Anupama Sharma PEM, Rakesh Khajuria PEM, Parshotam Sharma PEM, Ajay Sharma PEM, Jagdish Kumar PET and Ved Parkash PET.
