State Football Championship gets underway

JAMMU/SRINAGAR, Mar 28: The 26th State Football Championship (Kashmir Chapter) 2018-19 was inaugurated by Nuzhat Ara, Divisional Sports Officer (K) at Synthetic Turf TRC here today.
Twenty four teams are participating in the Championship in Kashmir Chapter.
In the first match, Food & Supplies Club defeated DFA Pulwama by five goals to nil (5-0).
In the 2nd match, DFA Baramulla defeated Hajin Zone by two goals to one, while in the third match, Zone Pattan defeated Rafiabad Zone by 3-2.
In the last match, DFA Bandipora defeated DFA Kulgam by seven goals to one (7-1).
The Jammu Chapter of the State Championship also commenced at GGM Science Collehge Jammu today, in which 24 teams of Jammu division are taking part. This chapter of the Championship was inaugurated by Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer, JKSSC.
In all 48 teams across the State are taking part, including the districts of Leh and Kargil.
In the first match played at GGM Science College Jammu, SFA Jammu defeated DFA Kishtwar by a solitary goal.
It is pertinent to mention here that the footballs for the matches of the tournaments are provided by Vector Soccer International Pvt Ltd.
It is once again reiterated that the State Football Championship 2018-19 will be played strictly in accordance with the Registration Rules of JKFA.
