JAMMU, Mar 16: J&K State Cycling Championship got underway at Sports Stadium, Bhure Chak Phallan Mandal, here today.
The Champio-nship is being organised by J&K Cycling Association, under the aegis of Cycling Federation of India and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
The Cyclists who were selected during District Champio-nship at Jammu included Meenakshi, Rajni, Tanvi Sharma, Rudar Mehra, Akarshat, Suranshu, Sonali Sharma, Sanju Mehra, Akash Bhatt and Aneesh and Subang, while the other participants in the State Championship were the selected athletes from the districts of Srinagar, Reasi, Baramulla, Budgam, Ganderbal, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch and Anantnag.
The Championship was organized under the supervision of S. Ravinder Singh.
In Under-14 boys, Adnan Bashir (Srinagar)-1st; Hilal Ahmed (Srinagar)-2nd and Richard Singh (Jammu)-3rd; while in Under-16 boys, Rajveer Singh (Jammu)-1st; Swaran Kumar (Jammu)-2nd; Jahangir (Srinagar)- 3rd and in Under-19 boys, Akash (Jammu)-1st; Amir (Jammu)-2nd and Aneesh (Jammu) 3rd.
