JAMMU, Nov 25: Jammu and Kashmir State (M&W) Bench-Press, Deadlift and Power Lifting team has been selected for Subrata Classic International Deadlift, Bench-Press and Powerlifting Championship to be held at Milanee Hall Jamshedpur, Jharkhand from January 4 to January 9, 2016.
Earlier, J&K Sports Power Lifting Association organized a State (M&W) Bench-Press, Deadlift and Power Lifting trial at RKM Gym, Upper Gummat, Kanji House, Jammu and selected the men and women team.
The team has been selected by the Association on merit basis in presence of Rakesh Jain, president, Jeevan Batta (member), Shambhu Gupta (member) and Narinder Pal Singh, media secretary.
Dr Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu was present on the occasion.
In men category selected players included Vijay Chaudhary senior 93 kg category, Tarun Dev Singh, junior 66 kg category, Pankaj Verma, senior 93 kg category, Rohit Singh Jamwal (senior 66kg category), Sandeep Kumar (senior 93 kg category), Narinder Pal Singh (senior 83 kg category).
Rajan Jain, general secretary of the Association will accompany the team.
