JAMMU, Dec 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association has selected men and women teams to represent the State in 65th Senior National Basketball Championship to be held in Bhilwara in Rajasthan from December 29, 2014 to January 5, 2015.
Both the teams departed for the venue here this evening.
According to a handout issued here, the teams were selected after being screened by the officials from Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council including Kuldeep Handoo and Rashid Ahmed.
The Teams: Men: Sumit Kumar, Harpreet Singh, Iqbal Singh, Rahul Manhas, Vikas Mahajan, Auqif Khan, Salinder Singh, Shubham Sharma, Rajesh Bandral, Karan Kumar, Shubham Bhradwaj and Rohan Kundal
Amarjeet Singh and Rohit chhibber are accompanying the team as coaches and Rajinder Singh Chib as manager.
Women: Abhileen Kour, Kanupriya Dubey, Amrit Kour, Amarpreet Kour, Tarandeep Kour, Shaveta Charak, Gurvinder Kour, Ayushi Sharma, Lakshmi Mehra,Rashmi Sharma, Radika Choudhary and Kunzang Chorol.
Amit Bharati and Sunil Singh Yadav are accompanying the team as coaches and Poonam Chib as manager.
