JAMMU, Dec 27: Sittu Club, Simbal Camp, Guru Nanak Hockey Club, Jammu and Zorawar Hockey Club, Satwari registered resounding victories over their rivals to advance in the ongoing Junior Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Hockey Stadium, here.
In the first match, Sittu Club defeated Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club Jammu by four goals to nil (4-0) in an easy contest. Roshan Kumar and Manmeet Singh scored 2 goals each for the winners.
In the second match played today, Guru Nanak Club blanked Bagh Bian, Gole Gujral by six goal to nil (6-0). Gagandeep Singh, Simranjeet Singh and Gurdeep Singh pelted 2 goals each.
In another match, Zorawar Club defeated Young Star Simbal Camp by four goals to one (4-1). Harish Vaid of Zorawar Club scored a magnificent hat-trick, the first hat-trick of the tournament.
The matches were officiated by J S Bali, Amarjeet Singh, Jaspreet Singh, JS Reen, Charanjeet Singh, Joginder Singh And M S Reen.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajinder Singh, treasurer Hockey India, Romal Singh, general secretary Hockey J&K, S Jaswant Singh, vice president Hockey J&K, B K and Vijay Vaid.
