Stadium Yellow trounces Blue in inaugural tie

POONCH, Mar 26: Stadium Yellow trounced Stadium Blue by 2-1 goals in the inaugural tie of the Sub Junior Hockey Championship Boys, being organized by Hockey Poonch under the aegis of Hockey J&K at Sports stadium, here today.
In the first half, Vishal of Stadium Blue netted the goal through penalty corner in the 6th minute and raised the scorecard.
The players of Stadium Yellow tried their level best to equalize the game but failed and the first half ended with 1-0 goals.
In the second half, aggressive Gurjot Singh of Stadium Yellow with good coordination between his stick and the ball scored the goal in the 35th minute and equalized the game.
Tushar of Stadium Yellow netted the goal just after six minute of the second goal of the match and raised the scorecard to 2-1 goals.
After the goal in the 41st minute, players of Stadium Blue struggled hard to clinch the match, but were looking dominated in the last 10 minutes of the game and subsequently lost the match by 2-1 goals.
The match was officiated by Rohit and Kawaldeep Singh.
Earlier, Narjeet Singh, Senior PEM, who was the chief guest on the occasion, declared the tournament open in presence of local populace and sports lovers.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, SAI Hockey Coach.
