Stadium XI smashes Poonch XI by solitary goal in exhibition football match

POONCH, June 19: Stadium XI smashed Poonch XI by solitary goal in exhibition football match organized by District Police under Civic Action Programme.
The match was organized by the District Police to increase mass contact and reducing the communication gap between police and public.
The aim of the match was to channelize the energy of the youth of the district and provide them platform to display the talent in sports activities.
On the occasion, Nissar Ahmed Wani, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch was the chief guest, who inaugurated the match.
Jatinder Singh Johar, SSP Poonch while speaking reiterated the role of District Police for organizing different sporting events in the district and to provide the platform to players of different games for enhancing their talent and channelize their energies.
He exhorted upon the players to exhibit true sportsmanship spirit and to inculcate discipline besides maintaining the best tradition of communal harmony and brotherhood for overall development of the nation.
On the occasion, District Police distributed 30 football dresses, 2 footballs, net and 4 corner parts.
Among others present were Mohammad Rafi Giri, DySP DAR, Sagar Singh Slathia DySP CDB, Pardeep Khanna, Nirdosh Kumar, Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch, Prem Parkash Luthra, large number of people and sports lovers.
The match was officiated by Tarlochan Singh.
