Stadium XI drubs City Club in Poonch Hockey Tourney

JAMMU, Nov 16: In order to celebrate Poonch Linkup Day, 93 Inf Brigade Poonch is organizing the ongoing Poonch Hockey Tournament at BHSS Poonch under the overall supervision of Durga Battalion, here.
6 teams in boys section and 3 teams in girls section are participating in the tournament.
Earlier, in the boys section on day-2 today, Stadium XI beat City Club by four goals to nil (4-0). Shahbaz and Akash scored 2 goals each.
In another match, Poonch XI defeated Stadium XI by 2-0 goals. Sunny and Ranveet scored one goal each.
In Girls section, Stadium XI drubbed GHSS Poonch by 5-0 goals. Mirdhu scored 3 goals and Ishita and Abhilove netted 1 goal each.
Parvinder Kour, Manger DIC Poonch was the chief guest, while Sham Lal Sharma, treasurer hockey J&K was the special guest.
Earlier, in the opening ceremony, DDC Poonch Tariq Ahmed Zargar was the chief guest and guest of honour was SSP Rajiv Pandey.
The matches were officiated by Technical Panel including Pawan Kumar, Matinderpal Singh, Kulwant Singh, Narinder Singh, Vikas Sharma, Sunil Raina, Harmik Singh, Ranveet Singh and Rajinder Singh.
The Tournament is being organized under the aegis of Hockey J&K, under the technical supervision of Pawan Kumar and Matinderpal Singh (hockey coaches).
