JAMMU, Oct 22: Blanking Army Public School (APS) Akhnoor by 6 six goals in the summit clash, Stadium XI lifted the title trophy of the 3rd Senior Women Hockey Tournament, organized by Hockey J&K in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
Earlier, Baljit Kour gave her side an early lead by netting a superb goal in 3rd minute of the game, which were followed by splendid goals by Chitra Bhadur and Jagjit Kour in 18th and 25th minute, before Baljit scored her second and 4th goal of the match. Then goals from Pooja and Anjali in 43rd and 57th minutes respectively, helped Stadium XI to win the match by six goals to nil (6-0).
The match was officiated by Joginder Singh, Jagjeet Singh, D Singh, GS Bakshi and MS Reen.
Principal Army School Akhnoor, KCS Mehta was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Jaswant Singh, Charanjit Singh, Krishan Kumar and Ravinder Singh Bitta.
