JAMMU, July 12: St Peter’s Catholic Church entered into the finals of the ongoing Inter-Church Cricket Championship at Alexander School Ground, here today.
Batting first, Catholic Church scored only 155 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 12 overs. Ravi and Avinash were the main scorers who contributed 56 and 46 runs to the total respectively. For CNI Church, Flavious took 4 wickets, while Ambrose and Vasu took one wicket each.
In reply, CNI Church scored 126 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted overs. Tiny Kalyan was the main scorer with 65 runs, hitting 8 sixes and 3 boundaries, while Ambrose scored 35 runs with 3 sixes. For Catholic Church, Avinash took 3 wickets while Neetu and Ravi took 1 wicket each. Man of the match was awarded to Avinash.
