JAMMU, June 4: The SSCAA JK Foundation, affiliated with NYKS Jammu as a Committee-Based Sports & Culture Promotion Organisation (CBSCPO), hosted the District-Level Yoga & Dance Sport Competition at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu, in collaboration with My Bharat Jammu. The event aimed to promote grassroots-level sports and cultural activities and witnessed participation from over 200 young students in yoga, dance, music, and art & craft.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, graced the event as chief guest, with Deepak Handa, Deepali Handa, Bindiya Sambyal and Deepika Rajput as guests of honour.
The event was presided over by Gulshan Rattan, Chairman SSCAA JK, supported by Governing Council members including Ravi Thakur, Sahil Kumar, Himanshu Heer and others. Dignitaries praised the role of sports in youth development and in preventing drug abuse. Students received medals for outstanding performances.
In his address, Gulshan Rattan emphasized the importance of collaboration in shaping a better future. Kapil Dev, Cultural Head, concluded the event by encouraging continued youth engagement in sports and culture.
